    4 Too bad. I have ifort installed and it does not find it either... Isn't it silly to have to install a worse compiler ?

Isn't it silly to have to install a worse compiler ? BTW, 15 months later, gfortran4.7 is not being built as a dependency of atlas. It still stops complaining it finds no fortran compiler. Can't we give an option to Macport to tell it which fortran to use ?
