bash 0.4.26 won't install - OSX10.4 Tiger

Attempting to update bash in the light of the Shellshock vuln - sudo port install bash ---> Computing dependencies for bash ---> Configuring bash Error: org.macports.configure for port bash returned: configure failure: command execution failed Please see the log file for port bash for details:

Please assume I know little of macports, compiling etc. If it's relevant, upgrading apple-gcc42 from 4.0.1 failed also.
