Ticket #45832, comment 11
initial v1 3 3 I think, we now should ask the maintainer(s) to do the following: 4 4 5 1. Patch the header file {{{utils.h}}} under {{{/opt/local/var/macports/build/_opt_local_var_macports_sources_rsync.macports.org_release_ports_lang_mozjs17/mozjs17/work/mozjs17.0.0/mfbt/double-conversion}}} according to https://trac.macports.org/attachment/ticket/45832/fix-utils.h.diff5 1. Patch the header file {{{utils.h}}} under {{{/opt/local/var/macports/build/_opt_local_var_macports_sources_rsync.macports.org_release_ports_lang_mozjs17/mozjs17/work/mozjs17.0.0/mfbt/double-conversion}}} according to attachment:fix-utils.h.diff 6 6 7 2. Clear the blacklisting of {{{*gcc-*}}} in https://trac.macports.org/browser/trunk/dports/lang/mozjs17/Portfile?rev=120613 and instead add some {{{configure.compiler apple-gcc-4.2}}} or {{{configure.compiler gcc-4.2}}}, as tests (at least on PPC 10.5.8) have demonstrated that in fact {{{gcc-4.2}}} is able to build {{{mozjs17 @17.0.0_2}}}. However, if there would be some substantial reason to use {{{macports-clang-3.4}}} here for non-PPC systems, than please implement a switching mechanism for compiler section here.7 2.
