Description
gthumb @3.4.1_0+x11
Just updated ... including gthumb. When starting gthumb I get the error:
Failed to register: Timeout was reached
If I run sudo gthumb, it opens the window but hangs. I get the following messages:
Dynamic session lookup supported but failed: launchd did not provide a socket path, verify that org.freedesktop.dbus-session.plist is loaded! (gthumb:4710): GLib-GObject-WARNING **: cannot register existing type 'GthEditCommentPage' (gthumb:4710): GLib-CRITICAL **: g_once_init_leave: assertion 'result != 0' failed (gthumb:4710): GLib-GObject-CRITICAL **: g_type_add_interface_static: assertion 'g_type_parent (interface_type) == G_TYPE_INTERFACE' failed (gthumb:4710): GLib-GObject-WARNING **: cannot register existing type 'GthImageViewerPageTool' (gthumb:4710): GLib-CRITICAL **: g_once_init_leave: assertion 'result != 0' failed (gthumb:4710): GLib-GObject-CRITICAL **: g_type_register_static: assertion 'parent_type > 0' failed (gthumb:4710): GLib-CRITICAL **: g_once_init_leave: assertion 'result != 0' failed (gthumb:4710): GLib-GObject-WARNING **: cannot register existing type 'GthImageViewerPage' (gthumb:4710): GLib-GObject-CRITICAL **: g_type_add_interface_static: assertion 'G_TYPE_IS_INSTANTIATABLE (instance_type)' failed (gthumb:4710): GLib-CRITICAL **: g_once_init_leave: assertion 'result != 0' failed
I've rolled back to gthumb @2.14.4_6 & everything still works fine...

What instructions? I did a selfupdate on existing functional installation. I see no mention of dbus on the install page...
Note: See
TracTickets for help on using
tickets.
Just to ask the obvious: is org.freedesktop.dbus-session.plist loaded, per the instructions shown by running "
port notes dbus
"?
