I've merged the changes from #41275 and bumped NSIS to v3.0. Can anybody test this please, my MacPorts setup is broken.

- This patch has whitespace changes mixed in with functional changes. This makes it hard to evaluate your proposed changes. Please submit a patch with only the functional changes.
