    11I'm finally getting around to looking at this. It looks fine with me, but you haven't included the current version of the GeneralUser soundfont at all.
    22Do you want to ship that as a separate port, or as a subport? It's true that it's linked only indirectly to fluid(synth), so we could ship it under a different name (gu-soundfont? generaluser-soundfont?)

     4> I didn't test qsynt. I only started it on a linux box that I had at hand and had no clue what it does.

     6 You have to start it with a midi file, AFAIK there currently is no way to let it open a(nother) midi file once it's running.
