1 | | That workaround is kind of a non-starter for anyone who's happy with some other installation of TeX, such as the one from www.tug.org/mactex. I did try installing texlive from macports but gave up when the installation that isn't even the +full variant took longer than octave to download and install. I'm pretty sure a judicious selection of texlive (and including its math) fonts, dvips, latex, and docbook ports would get the job done, but it's easier to get rid of the leaves via re-installing octave if nobody's going to fix this port to get the right build dependencies. I doubt anyone even needs to wait out the building of octave after all the dependencies are on board. |
