Hello ,
i am using MacPorts on Leopard Powerpc 10.5.8 and repeatedly run into
Warning: port definitions are more than two weeks old, consider updating them by running 'port selfupdate'.
altough i several times run succesfully "sudo port selfupdate" and let it process by compter
rich-kus-powerbook-g4-15:~ richku$ sudo port selfupdate ---> Updating MacPorts base sources using rsync MacPorts base version 2.4.0 installed, MacPorts base version 2.4.1 downloaded. ---> Updating the ports tree ---> MacPorts base is outdated, installing new version 2.4.1 Installing new MacPorts release in /opt/local as root:admin; permissions 0755
it takes a very long time (powerbook g4 1,67ghz() to update...
why does it install as root:admin? and why does it fail after finishing?
eg, when i try to install something, it again says
