    1 Interestingly, powerpc-darwin8-apple (Tiger PPC) just breezes right on past this error without any intervention in `internal-fn.def`, and continues on with the gcc8 build.

    3 That doesn't surprise me -- there is something seriously troublesome about the finer details of the <math.h> functionality on Leopard that we have seen before.
     1The build of gcc8 on TigerPPC errors at exactly the same spot with the same error.
