At the first glance, the cause seems to be that it is trying to use the directory '/Applications/Xcode.app/Contents/Developer/Platforms/MacOSX.platform/Developer/SDKs/MacOSX10.14.sdk', which does not exist, because XCode is not installed (only command line tools are, which work fine, since MacPorts has successfully built a few other packages from sources). |

Apparently, the directory path is hard-baked into the Perl configuration files. |
