v1 v2 1 Looks like what is happening is that the configure script is calling `make` to generate the dependency tracking information now -- this appears to have re-enabled in some recent update to autotools.1 Looks like what is happening is that the configure script is calling `make` to generate the dependency tracking information now -- this appears to have become enabled in some recent update to autotools. 2 2 3 3 And when the configure script on Tiger calls make, it finds the old one in `/usr/bin/make` rather than the new one in `/opt/local/bin/gmake` (obviously), and the old `make` barfs on the newer command syntax.
