The upstream project appears to have no activity by its author since the release of phpstylist 1.0 in 2007. Someone made phpstylist 1.1, a third-party bugfix release, in 2013; see announcement. However I found no indication that this third-party release is maintained, either.
If updated, consider addressing #29658.
Alternatively, should this port be deleted? According to Repology, MacPorts is the only package manager offering this project. Maybe there is a maintained alternative. (I personally do not use this port.)
