    1 @ken -- The output of "sysctl -n hw.cpu64bit_capable" is 1 on my old Mac Pro since it uses 64-bit Xeon CPU's.  The problem arises when the Mac has a 32-bit EFI.

    33Perhaps meson can check to see if the Mac is using a 32-bit EFI by using "ioreg".  See below.
