    99It would be “cool” if it worked, for sure. Modest PRs with patches to support that might be considered by port maintainers. Not many, if any, will actively try to fix such build errors, though.

    11 If a user such as you interested it such unusual builds finds flaws in MacPorts base or Portfile code that are manifest doing such a build, and that can be fixed without making too much of a mess of the existing code base, that would be something beneficial for sure.
