    44I had heard that in some edge cases Java can outperform C++ due to JIT compilation, and I understand Java can reduce development time. But the machine in question is from 2012 and was discontinued in 2014. Whatever advantage I can get from native memory management vs Java's garbage collection I am happy to take.
