    initial v4  
     1UPD. Nothing to do with `c-ares` as such or the specific OS. Same errors with `libical`. But only with CMake 3.28.
     2However, it may be caused by a zoo of `legacy-support-devel` versions, on which CMake depends.

     4I will need to dig into this to figure out what exactly caused this breakage.

     6Notably, most CMake-using ports still build fine. So far I have seen this error only with two.
