rust: Unable to install on 10.10 — at Version 3

Description (last modified by dyne2meter)

I have not been able to update this port on 10.10.6 since about 4.17. The port downloads and then first tries to install rust, which fails on this platform, so I have no log for the port I'm really interested in. I apologize in advance if creating this ticket is not the right channel to use. Port health at Macports apparently OK.

This does depend on rust via py311-rpds-py, so the problem is that you can't install rust. I'm not sure why you would not be able to simply install rust from the binary archive, since one is available for 10.13.

Attaching the main.log for rust should help answer the question of why it fails to build and might shed light on why you didn't get a binary archive.
