    11IBM Semeru based on Java 8 officially only supports x64, while builds for both x64 and aarch64 are provided for Java 11 and later. The `openjdk8-openj9` portfile contains `supported_archs  x86_64`, but that indeed doesn't stop arm64 users from installing this port. But, as you noticed, it doesn't play 100% nice on Apple Silicon devices and the installation of the port will trigger the offer to run `rev-upgrade`.
