port deactivate boost works around the issue

comment:5 Changed 6 months ago by ryandesign (Ryan Carsten Schmidt)

So the fix will be to resolve #63136 and delete the boost port.

Replying to ryandesign:

So the fix will be to resolve #63136 and delete the boost port.

That might take awhile; how about in the meantime?

The conflicts_build portgroup can be used.

brew uninstall boost didn't achieve anything.

Is there any other way to use this?

Actually, doing brew unlink boost, followed by sudo port install boost, and retrying took the mysql8 port install further along.

note that this blocks the upgrading of p5.34-dbd-mysql, which in turn blocks upgrading of amavisd-new and sqlgrey.

Edit: postfixadmin, too (just putting the port names here for searchability)

If this bug is about the build picking up files it isn't supposed to, then I wonder, why doesn't trace mode fix it?
