    11Thank you so much. Port -d sync did it.
    22I was running into many errors updating ports so I thought about it and found that I probably did not migrate my instance of MacPorts when I upgraded my OS from Mojave to Catalina some time ago.
    3 I followed the steps outlined in https://trac.macports.org/wiki/Migration and then ran into above problem.
