KDE problems
Why this page?
This page was initiated by this post on KDE-MAC and a PM discussion regarding Randa participation of MacPorts developers. It shall serve as a place to highlight certain KDE-related tickets which need special attention in order to bring KDE's integration on MacPorts forward.
Special maintainer/developer information - which is not covered in the KDE wiki page - could be gathered here.

- options to disable baloo on OSX or reconfigure it in such a way that there is no interference with OSX' Spotlight
Continuous Integration of KDE on OSX
The KDE community has plans for CI of KDE on OSX as it is done for Linux and Windows. Currently there is an ongoing discussion on KDE-DEVEL and MacPort-dev's expertise regarding the setup of their buildbots could be helpful for KDE.
Qt5 and KF5
The new Qt5 eventually leads to the new still-under-construction KDE Frameworks.
At this stage there is not yet a Qt5 port for MacPorts available due to lack of resources. Homebrew obviously managed to create a valid recipe for building Qt5, so it should not be too hard to write a qt5-mac Portfile... The ticket for working on a Portfile for qt5-mac is #37331
