Nice work!
Shouldn't the config file install in /opt/local/etc rather than /opt/local/share/boxes/boxes.conf?

My mistake, the boxes.conf isn't really a config file, just the list of available designs, moved it (as the author suggests) to /opt/local/share/boxes. I also tried to create 'emacs' variant, that would install boxes.el to site-lisp directory. Please, check if this is proper path/way to do it...
Thank you

Committed with modifications. There should only be one destroot section, or any other. It will work that way because the first one encountered at program runtime is the only one that will execute, but there is a better way. See the portfile. Also test it to make sure it behaves as you wanted. Thanks for submitting.
