When building the monarch variant of nagios (port install nagios +monarch) on a clean install of Mac OS X 10.4, the build fails with the following error: ---> Configuring monarch ---> Building monarch with target all ---> Staging monarch into destroot Error: Target com.apple.destroot returned: shell command "chown -R nagios:nagios /opt/local/var/db/dports/build/_opt_local_var_db_dports_sources_rsync.rsync.darwinports.org_dpupdate_dports_net_monarch/work/destroot/opt/local/groundwork/monarch/*" returned error 1 Command output: chown: nagios: Invalid argument

Error: The following dependencies failed to build: monarch nagios-plugins fping p5-crypt-des p5-digest-hmac p5-digest-sha1 p5-net-snmp Error: Status 1 encountered during processing.

Apparently, the monarch variant is attempting to change ownership of its files to the nagios user/group. This user/group combination is created in the Nagios build process and is not available to Monarch unless Nagios has previously been installed (or the user is manually created).
