Scribus doesn't start

Description
When you launch scribus from the terminal or the xterm, you get this message: "QPaintDevice: Must construct a QApplication before a QPaintDevice" And program finish (I believe it doesn't start).
Scribus version: 1.3.3.8 MacPorts version: 1.4.3

1.3.3.9 was committed. Try upgrading to that please. I had no problems with1.3.3.8 however.

Looks like an upstream bug to me... have you tried the native Scribus/Aqua build from http://www.scribus.net/index.php?name=Sections&req=viewarticle&artid=3 ? In any case it might be a good idea to inform the scribus developers about that.
