Matroska is an extensible open standard audio/video container format. This library is there to support this format and has been written by the Matroska project team.

Felix, you'll find the file on a debian mirror like: ​http://ftp2.de.debian.org/debian/pool/main/libm/libmatroska/libmatroska_0.6.1.orig.tar.gz

Also, the category in the Portfile is multimedia. I don't know what else to put if this category isn't created (I guess if someone is against the creation of this category, they'll provide a substitute).

Finally, this depends on libebml, so it won't compile until libebml is somewhat registered in the list of ports.

Sure. Actually, it needs some additional work. Basically, if you do the destroot just after the build, it will work, but if you wait, ld will ask for a ranlib, as the Makefile doesn't installs the library with -p to preserve the modification date.
