BUG: ncursesw should depend on ncurses
Reported by: | nox@… | Owned by: | jmroot (Joshua Root) |

Port: | ncurses ncursesw |
Description
Currently, ncurses uses terminfo database, binaries and manpages from the ncursesw installation. As ncursesw is ncurses WITH unicode support, ncurses should not depend on ncurses and it should be the reverse instead.

Swapping these around will cause all kinds of pain with conflicts when upgrading.

IMHO, there must be just one ncurses port, providing wide-enabled curses. For reasons - please, take a look at bug 12605. BTW, maintainer of ncurses port seems to be dormant.
