Description
Intel recently released their threading building blocks for several platforms including OS X:

It's just libraries and binaries (and the binaries are just set-env-variables). I don't have any port-writing expertise but hope someone might consider writing a port for this and adding it to macports?
Failing that, an example of a ticket that installs libraries (.dylib) and sets environment variables (?) to use them would be really useful.

Looks like the original site mentioned by John moved to http://www.threadingbuildingblocks.org/. They provide free open source downloads without registration.
But this request is so old anyway, I would say closing due to lack of interest is okay.

The site has changed, but according to the download instructions you need to first register on the site, hence it can't be put into a port.
