Description
The attached patch to macports1.0/macports.tcl supports the indexing of port collections that are organized in alphabetic directories instead of in categories.
Although this patch does not strictly enforce this structure, it supports the use of the following directory structure: a/aa/aaport a/ab/abport a/ac/... b/ba/baport ... This patch actually allows the following structure: a/arbitrary-length-directory/port-directory

So. This has already been discussed on dev@, and it seems we won't change the dports/ structure for the moment. Let's close this ticket.
