#12565 closed defect (fixed)

pstotext 1.8g fetch failure

Reported by: dpkatz@… Owned by: ryandesign (Ryan Carsten Schmidt)
Priority: Normal Milestone:
Component: ports Version: 1.5.0
Keywords: pstotext Cc:
Port:

Description

I tried to install pstotext today, and found that it was not avialable anywhere:

$ sudo port search pstotext
pstotext textproc/pstotext 1.8g Extract ASCII text from a PostScript or PDF file

$ sudo port install pstotext latex2html latex2man html2text
Password:
--->  Fetching pstotext
--->  Attempting to fetch pstotext.tar.Z from http://www.research.compaq.com/SRC/virtualpaper/binaries/
--->  Attempting to fetch pstotext.tar.Z from http://svn.macports.org/repository/macports/distfiles/pstotext

--->  Attempting to fetch pstotext.tar.Z from http://svn.macports.org/repository/macports/downloads/pstotext
Error: Target org.macports.fetch returned: fetch failed
Error: Status 1 encountered during processing.
$

I can understand that the source at compaq might not be available, but shouldn't there be copies in the macports svn repository? Or is there a bug in the attempted repository list? Or am I just being stupid?

Thanks!

Dan
