What OS rev are you on? What version of XCode do you have installed? If you're not on the latest upgrading (XCode at least) may help. I've got "gcc version 4.0.1 (Apple Computer, Inc. build 5367)"

user updated XCode to 2.4.1 and reports problem resolved
You've got something funny going on:

Do you have anything unusual installed on your system? Which compiler is selected (gcc -v) ?
