libsdl-1.2.12 install fails due to QuickTime check

Description
When installing the libsdl port, I'm getting the error "Target org.macports.fetch returned: can't read "qt_maj": no such variable".
Removing the QuickTime check from the Portfile appears to fix the problem.
I'm running Panther. I originally had QuickTime 7.0.3 and subsequently downgraded to 6.5.2 using the Pacifist utility.
