Hah, you beat me to it! One question, though; why are you disabling transparent proxy support when Mac OS X supports it through ipfw?

Sorry, I thought from reading the Wiki that only netfilter and pf (not ipfw) were supported for transparent proxy, so disabling it is a mistake.

Yeah, it is a bit misleading. What is actually the case is that Tor supports transparent proxying, but your OS kernel-firewall combination needs to support forwarding one local port to another. Apparently the original version of ipfw didn't support this, but FreeBSD has had one that does for quite some time, and hence so does Mac OS X. It took me a bit of reading around to find this out, but I haven't raised enough gumption yet to clarify this on their wiki :-)
The other parts of your patch were applied in changeset:30653 and changeset:30654. Thank you once again!
