Description
My first problem with macports involves a fetch problem. (see error below).
The python web site was up and available.
I worked around this by downloading the tar.bz2 file to /opt/local/var/macports/sources/local/
and adding
file:///opt/local/var/macports/sources/local/ to
/opt/local/etc/macports/sources.conf
However, I'd like to understand what was going wrong.
Thanks!
-Chris

With the latest version of port and the python25 portfile, this error no loger occurs for me. This can be closed, although I am having other difficulties with python25. I will submit a different ticket with a better title. -Chris
