Thank you for reporting this! It appears that r23053 caused this problem in wordplay, caml-pcre, mdnsd and shapelib. For shapelib it was fixed in r23247; for caml-pcre it was fixed in r25462. I fixed it for wordplay and mdnsd just now in r32259.
