Problem with installing ImageMagick ... Attached is the error message. Please help!

This is a problem with tiff, not ImageMagick, and furthermore should already have been fixed; see #12997. Can you please "sudo port selfupdate" and try installing tiff again? If you still get the problem, please reopen this bug.

I am really sorry for bugging you further, but 'sudo port selfupdate' didn't work for me. Also, i looked by at the prior bug report, that didn't quite help me either.
