#14295 new defect
slocate cannot exclude file system types due to missing mtab

Description
slocate can exclude file system types with, for example, '-f nfs', however it appears to require the presence of /opt/local/etc/mtab. This is a dynamic file on Linux, but does not exist on Mac OS X. The -f option can be approximated using -e but one would have to be able to anticipate all future mounts.

From what I gather, most Linux distro no longer use slocate - also the slocate website no longer exists.
