Looks like it's been patched in 0.60.2. I'll update the portfile soon. Sorry for the delay, I was having an unforeseen extended break.

Update to 0.60.2 committed in revision:36112 (changelog says the patch you linked to is the only change from 0.60.1). Let me know if this solves the problem.
