Description
I just installed texmacs 1.0.6.12 on my Mac OSX 10.5.2, macports version 1.600). It runs, but I can't use the alt key at all. I was able to work around that by hitting the ESC key twice. But now, in entering math symbols, things are still not correct. When I enter A-s for square root, it displays with a little 'p' instead. The square roots in the docs are the same, so it's not an input problem.
I like Texmacs, and was pretty amazed that it built without problems (only a single warning about Ghostscript want to install outside the base directory structure - don't know if that's relevant).
It would be nice to get it fully working on the Mac

The square root bug no longer exists in the current version (1.0.7).
The alt (option) key needs to be manually configured through the preference menu.
