Description
a user should be able to add and remove variant functionality directly from the port command. i cannot see why this would be necessary aside from disabling the default variant and enabling another but still...
until variant conflicts and/or the ability to override another variant is implemented, you are pretty stuck...
jpm.metadata ~ -=> sudo port install nano -stable +unstable Usage: /opt/local/bin/port [-vDq] [action] [-d portdir] [options] jpm.metadata ~ -=>

This is supported, but you must precede the first -variant with -- to disambiguate between flags and negated variants.
