Description
I just upgraded poppler from 0.6.4_0 to 0.8.0_0. Now if I use GIMP and try to open a PDF the plug-in crash. It brings up a dialog box that reads:
Gimp Message
Plug-in crashed: "poppler"
(/opt/local/lib/gimp/2.0/plug-ins/poppler)
The dying plug-in may have message up GIMPS's internal state. You may want to save your images and restart GIMP to be on the safe side.
GIMP Message Opening 'test.pdf' failed:
Portable Document Format plug-in could not open image.
If I deactivate poppler@0.8.0_0, activate poppler@0.6.4_0 and restart GIMP, I can again open a pdf just fine. I don't have to rebuild anything. So it seems that the current poppler GIMP plug-in doesn't work with the new poppler. So, I would guess that the plug-in needs a fix.

OK, I bumped the revision in r35640 so everyone will rebuild against the new poppler.
What happens if you rebuild gimp2 with the new version of poppler active?
