rsync install fails

Description
Install of the rsync port fails b/c it cannot fetch rsync bundle.
Here's the output.
$ sudo port install rsync
---> Fetching rsync

Error: Status 1 encountered during processing.
It seems that rsync has bumped versions. A work-around is manually d/ling the package from here (http://samba.org/ftp/rsync/old-versions/) and moving it to /opt/local/var/macports/distfiles/rsync/

The rsync port was updated to 3.0.2 two days ago. Run
port sync.
