Description
This is a very strange and annoying bug: I'm using a customized keyboard layout, when I open vim-app, the keyboard layout switches to the default one, even if I set my custom layout again, it stays there only until I come back to normal mode; so, everytime I enter normal mode, my keyboard layout changes for no reason and that's absolutely annoying. Furthermore, it seems like in OSX (I'm using Leopard, for the matter) I can't have a custom keyboard layout as the only one selected, so this workaround doesn't work.
This happens with custom layouts (~/Library/Keyboard\ Layouts/) only.

I report it upstream. I can't post here the link of the ticket because... you know, the best editor in the world doesn't have a bug tracker. I'll let you if they answer.

The people of vim-mac@… explained me that Vim.app is not really maintained at all. They suggest to use MacVim or vim-cocoa instead (I prefer MacVim), and both don't have the keyboard layout bug.
Anyway, this is an upstream problem, and you can close this bug report IMHO. Sorry for the noise :)

I already thought about creating a port for MacVim and/or vim-cocoa, but the problem back then was that they did not release proper source tarballs. Maybe that changed and I should look into it again.
I can confirm this behavior. But I suppose that is an upstream issue with Vim.app and not especially related to MacPorts. Please report upstream.
