Have done %cvs -z3 update -dP %portindex %sudo port clean libungif
% sudo port install libungif Password: ---> Fetching libungif ---> Verifying checksum for libungif Error: Target com.apple.checksum returned: Checksum mismatch for libungif-4.1.0b1.tar.gz

Cannot reproduce. Try removing /opt/local/var/db/dports/distfiles/libungif/ and trying again. The checksums on both master_sites (ayamura and freebsd) appear to be correct.
