#15908 closed defect (fixed)
Ticket queries are not useful

Description
For typical bugs in actively maintained ports or in base, just getting all open tickets in most-recently-submitted first order is as effective as trying to search for specific issues.
At least set the presentation of query results to use most-recently-submitted-first order, then you get the genuine benefits of LIFO order along with the dubious benefits of a text query.

I have no idea what's an issue in Trac and what's not, I don't run any Trac instances.
If possible, the query page should be set to be sorted most recent first. As far as I can tell, that can't be done by the user; she has to search first, then set sort order.

I also do not understand. Can you give me a URL for which page you think needs to be sorted, and tell me the heading of the column you want it to sort by?

I've noticed the same. A faster way to get to "https://trac.macports.org/report/1?sort=ticket&asc=0" would be nice.

Sorry, I don't quite understand the issue. What can we do about it which is not a issue in Trac itself?
