Description
Hi,
I am trying to install gnuplot, and have gotten stuck on one of the dependencies, gd2.
---> Attempting to fetch gd-2.0.35.tar.bz2 from http://www.libgd.org/releases/ ---> Verifying checksum(s) for gd2 ---> Extracting gd2 ---> Applying patches to gd2 ---> Configuring gd2 Error: Target org.macports.configure returned: shell command "cd /opt/local/var/macports/build/_opt_local_var_macports_sources_rsync.macports.org_release_ports_graphics_gd2/work/gd-2.0.35 && autoreconf" returned error 1 Command output: aclocal: configure.ac: 64: macro `AM_ICONV' not found in library autoreconf: aclocal failed with exit status: 1
Error: The following dependencies failed to build: gd2 pdflib readline Error: Status 1 encountered during processing.
I am using the latest Developer Tools (2.5) on OS 10.4.11.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I resolved this problem for my own situation, but there may be an underlying problem (or, more likely, an underlying lack of understanding on my part).
When I tried to install wxMaxima, gd2 was a dependency for this as well and installed without any problems. gnuplot also installed with wxMaxima.
Thanks, and my apologies for any unnecessary time anyone spent on this.
David
