Description
I just installed ncview and received an error from MacPorts during the installation. I have attached the entire error message below. After adding the required lines to ~/.bashrc I haven't had any problems, so I don't know if this is a real bug.
$> sudo port install ncview Password: ---> Fetching ncview ---> Attempting to fetch ncview-1.93c.tar.gz from ftp://cirrus.ucsd.edu/pub/ncview/ ---> Verifying checksum(s) for ncview ---> Extracting ncview ---> Applying patches to ncview ---> Configuring ncview ---> Building ncview with target all ---> Staging ncview into destroot Warning: violation by /opt/local/man Warning: ncview violates the layout of the ports-filesystems! Warning: Please fix or indicate this misbehavior (if it is intended), it will be an error in future releases! ---> Installing ncview 1.93c_0 ---> Activating ncview 1.93c_0 The MacPorts X11 app-defaults directory is located at: /opt/local/lib/X11/app-defaults Therefore, you must set the XFILESEARCHPATH environment variable to your ~/.profile for your X11 environment to find the MacPorts app-defaults directory: export XFILESEARCHPATH=/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/app-defaults/%N:/opt/local/lib/X11/app-defaults/%N ---> Cleaning ncview
