Description: modified (diff)

I don't know how aqbanking3 is managing to skip installing its gwenhywfar3 dependency, but try installing gwenhywfar3 manually first.

comment:2 Changed 16 years ago by mf2k (Frank Schima)

You might also need to uninstall aqbanking and gwenhywfar.

comment:3 Changed 16 years ago by mf2k (Frank Schima)

I have merged aqbanking3 and gwenhywfar3 into aqbanking and gwenhywfar respectively. Here's the cheat sheet to get gnucash installed:

sudo port selfupdate
sudo port -pf uninstall gnucash aqbanking aqbanking3 gwenhywfar gwenhywfar3
sudo port install gnucash

The above should be run even if you currently have gnucash installed to handle updates going forward.

Sorry for the confusion on all this!

Thanks for the help. Unfourtunatly nothing seem to work. I can't work out what I am doing wrong! I hope this all helps someone else. I am using the very latest Xcode tools could this be a problem?

I wanted to make a clean install so I uninstalled Macports, re-installed Macports. Gnucash install failed. I then did the steps outlined in the previous post. Still no joy. Logs below:

Uninstalled macports. Installed macports 1.6.0

You hit the Tcl environment bug on Leopard.

Workaround:

sudo port clean py25-hashlib
sudo port install gnucash

I believe I tried this already, please see above. Thanks anyway.

I have tried it too. No luck at all. Seems that this is something general. Any fix?

You need to do it again as he says. That's the bug.

This is the Tcl bug again. Once again:

sudo port clean py25-zlib
sudo port install gnucash

If it stops again, do the same with the last port that tries to build.

IT WORKS! Thank you very much ;-)

The solution, as stated above:

sudo port clean py25-zlib
sudo port install gnucash

If the install fails simply repeat, keep going, it took me several attempts, but eventually it worked.

Your issue is different than what is described in this closed ticket. I suggest you open a new ticket and post the output clearly showing your error log and your configuration details.
