Description
I just tried to install rsnapshot 1.3.1, and was running into trouble because it was looking for /opt/local/bin/perl5.8 which didn't exist. I symlinked perl5.8.8 as perl5.8 and everything proceeded correctly.

$ port installed perl5.8 The following ports are currently installed:
perl5.8 @5.8.8_2+darwin_9 (active)
I thought I'd checked that I had the most recent perl, my bad.

What version of the perl5.8 port do you have installed? You can use
port installed perl5.8
to see. Mine, at 5.8.8_3, installed /opt/local/bin/perl5.8.
