Description
This is new port for libpqxx 3.0.0.
This version is still in a release stage. It will build and install on my system against postgresql83, so it may be good to go.
I've tried to incorporate a low level of tests into this port (similar tests should be worked into libpqxx26). As I'm ignorant of how the testing works within macports, the last 1/2 of this Portfile may be wrong. Where can I find more info on this? I need some tips on how to "debug" this test phase. It's more complicated than usual because this test requires setup of a new, temporary postgresql database and some environment variables to enable easy access to it (I've tried to put this into pre-test and post-test phases, if that's possible). Any help appreciated!
Thanks, Darren
PS, I need an explanation of how to use my commit rights for macports.

What sort of questions do you have? I know the NewCommittersGuide isn't complete, so questions you may have should also be answered there to help the next person.

Sorry, we can scrap this port for now. This port will be an update to port:libpqxx, which will follow the most recent release candidate. There will be a new port:libpqxx26 for backward compatibility if other ports depend on the 2.6.? releases. I'm told, to date, there are no dependencies on libpqxx (how do you list them, if any?).
I did not find any links to the NewCommittersGuide in the main guide (am I blind or what?), thanks for that! I'll start with that and see how it goes.

In the NewCommittersGuide there's a link to GetMacPortsSource#CheckingoutMacPortssourcesusingSubversion for svn. It should be helpful.
