I would suggest running the upgrade command without the "-n" switch.
The SuiteSparse upgrade (r41628) would have introduced a minor incompatibility with octave.
To avoid this, octave was patched at the same time (r41630).
The patch, however, is incompatible with the old SuiteSparse.
To upgrade octave, SuiteSparse must be upgraded as well.
I made the changes to SuiteSparse and octave, so please let me know if this works.
